How long will it take to receive my Honors admission decision?
Completed applications are reviewed for admission in the order they are received. 学生 are typically notified of their admission decision within 4 weeks of completing 他们的应用程序.

Also, please be aware that dual enrollment students are unable to participate in college opportunities like honors (or standard) 研究 abroad, paid summer undergraduate research opportunities, paid pre-medical prep programs, professional conferences, national transfer scholarship applications, and some local volunteer opportunities. 因为未来的 honors students tend to be the types of students who seek out these unique opportunities, we strongly encourage you to stagger your high 学校 and Valencia graduations (especially 如果你是医学预科). You can still start Valencia (and honors) while in high 学校 if it is a good fit for you, but by not completing your AA degree at the same time as your high 学校 diploma, you provide yourself with the space to take advantage of these opportunities after you graduate from high 学校 and continue on at Valencia.

Participation in a collegiate honors program is one way to demonstrate your willingness to go beyond the minimum expectations during your college experience. 它也是 easy way to demonstrate academic rigor on your college transcript. (学术严谨 is expected at selective colleges and universities as well as in graduate and professional 学校.) We are proud to say that our honors graduates regularly transfer into both selective in-state and out-of-state Bachelor’s degree programs, continue on to competitive graduate and professional 学校s, and eventually establish meaningful careers in 他们选择的职业. Our honors alumni speak positively about their experiences in the program and how it has served as a launchpad to other opportunities for them.
